Prague, Czech Republic

4 OCT 2013 - Prague is one of the real jewels of Europe that remained intact after two world wars. We were fortunate to enjoy a great day wandering the city and enjoying what it had to offer. Standing here in front of the the Charles Bridge on the Vltava River, with the Prague Castle in the background.

 Prague, Czech Republic

We spent a good 40 minutes wandering across the Charles Bridge. So much history and so much to take in.

The Powder Tower was really cool. Although the gate was originally built as a grand gate to enter the city, it later became used to store gun powder, thus the name.

The entrance to the Prague Castle is pretty ornate, complete with actual sentries. It definitely gives the castle much more of an authentic feeling to it.

Near the top of Petrinske Sady Park, we had a great view of the city looking back toward the old town. We had a great time in Prague! What a beautiful city!
