9 AUG 2013 - Elaine was good enough to watch our kids to give us a chance to spend two full days with each other at Lake Constance (Bodensee in German). The lake is bordered by the countries of Germany, Switzerland and Austria. Our first night there, we enjoyed a wonderful dinner cruise on the lake.

The weather on the top deck of the boat was just beautiful and we had a great time just chatting and enjoying the ride.
The next day we went to the botanical gardens on the Bodensee island of Mainau. The flowers and gardens there are just spectacular!
Scenes like this could be found all over the island!
The views from the top of the island out over the lake were also incredible. Such a fun trip!
