Walks

We live in a small village called Neuweiler which is part of the town of Weil im Schonbuch. There are plenty of large fields, forests and a number of wonderful walking paths to explore. In the spring, flowers seem to bloom everywhere. Picking a bouquet of flowers to bring home is easy. Getting the beautiful little girl to hold still while we take her picture is not.

When you go out walking, you never know what you may see. Dog-sized rabbits, milk cows, red-tailed foxes, small deer, slugs (only for Eve), snails (only for Eve), and rainbows are some of the more interesting sights.

The beautiful green fields don't get that way on their own. They need a little help. So when the honey spreader starts to do its work (notice the brown spray coming from the tractor), its best to just walk away... or close your eyes and smile, or talk to your friend Carter while eating goldfish.

Eve loves snails and slugs. We can't explain why, but it's true. She also enjoys poking them in the eyes as she walks by them, or adopting as many as she can and bringing them home. The later practice had to be stopped because of the amazingly high death rate associated with her snail nurturing skills.

A bow staff always makes for a much more enjoyable walk.
