17 FEB - Dresden was practically on the way to Berlin, so we figured we would pay a visit. Boy were we glad we did.
The old city area of Dresden was completely destroyed during WWII, but has been nearly rebuilt. The art work and buildings are just amazing.
Inside the great castle in the old city center, we did our best to capture the area, but there was just too much. Even though we didn't have the greatest weather, we still had a great time wandering around.
The Fraukirche behind them is one of the great re-built churches in Dresden. The inside of the church has been beautifully rebuilt. Also, you'll see that even though the buildings in the town still have the old look to them, they are far more orderly and well built than most of the others you'll see around Europe.
