Nice, France

2 APR 13 - After visiting Monte Carlo, we pushed further west to visit Nice, France. We parked the van downtown and then went to the Fontaine du Soleil (behind Grandpa and Grandma) located not far from the city center. From there, we went out to the boardwalk by the beach and walked it a good stretch before finally finding a place to let the kids play at the beach.

April in Nice is not like May or June. It wasn't terribly warm yet, but things were definitely warming up. The other interesting thing is that it's a rock and pebble beach. As the tide comes in you can literally hear the rocks lift up in the water and then all at once fall back into place as the tide goes out. A rock beach is like paradise for Eli and Eve... lots of ammo to throw back into the water. We ended the day eating dinner at a local restaurant watching a replay of a Utah Jazz basketball game. It seemed odd to be thousands of miles away from home exploring a foreign country only to enjoy a little piece of home at dinner. So memorable.
